How Farrells helps arrange fitting.
Farrells works closely with independent professional carpet fitters and can organise and allocate work to them. The fitting charge is separate from the flooring supply and is paid directly between you and the fitter. Ask for both parts to be explained before making arrangements.
Confirm the measurements before ordering.
Rough room dimensions help start a conversation, but the final quantity needs careful checking. Mention stairs, bays, alcoves, landings and adjoining rooms. Ask how final measurements will be confirmed and who is responsible for approving the amount of carpet needed.
Discuss preparation and access.
Ask about the existing floor, old flooring removal, furniture, underlay, door clearance and any work needed to prepare the surface. Do not assume these items are included. Confirm who handles each part, any additional cost and what the fitter needs on the day.
Keep the arrangements together.
Before the work is scheduled, confirm the product, supply details, fitter, timing and separate fitting price. Keep the agreed details and ask who to contact about any questions. If the project involves other flooring types, ask the team to explain the installation arrangements for those products separately.
